Expanding and Enhancing Interprofessional Primary Care Team
CUTLER, ON – Provincial funding has been allocated to expand access to primary care teams, connecting more people with essential primary care services. Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services (MNSCHS) is proud to announce the receipt of additional funding totaling $494,000 from the Ministry of Health. This funding aims to improve access to care for unattached community members and their families.
With this funding, we will facilitate connections to a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including primary care and allied health providers. This initiative is fully aligned with MNSCHS’ mission to collaborate with our community partners in providing accessible, quality, culturally safe, and holistic healthcare that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities.
“We are very appreciative and grateful for the investment made by the Provincial government today. It is with deep gratitude that we say Chi-Miigwetch to our front-line providers, to our communities, and to our clients and families for your ongoing dedication, collaboration, and trust that you have shown throughout our journey together” says Carol Eshkakogan, Chief Executive Officer of Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services. “We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure that our communities have access to equitable healthcare services by ensuring that Indigenous Health remains in Indigenous Hands.”
